Was looking for a reliable router and stubled on this, and found that it works like a dream. I can walk around the house without ever losing the connection. Brought with a Dabsvalue PCMICIA card, slightly more expensive but worth it. Works with tiscali so im happy.

Quick delivery from dabs, no hastle. Got the unit up and running in ten minutes and found connection speeds excellent throughout my home, I also purchased the WG511 PC card and WG121 USB adapter for my laptop and desktop and found that set-up on these were also very straight forward. I purchased on a recommendation from Digital Home Magazine where the DG834G had recently won an award.

Hassle Free Wireless Connectivity!

Reviewed following six very successful months use by a non-techie user with OneTel broadband. I originally bought this router with the sole intention of freeing up my Dell Centrino lap top. Within a week I’d bought a USB stick for my antiquated Siemens Xpert desktop (Dabs Value - EW-7317UG). The unit was pre-installed with the latest firmware and has been absolutely problem free. Tying MAC addresses down was easy, using the WEP feature was easy. This router is currently supporting the Dell laptop, the same antiquated Siemens desktop, a Palm T3 with wi-fi card and just lately, two Apple iBooks belonging to visiting friends. Really hassle free!

Excellent Piece of Kit

It took me 5 mins to setup this device. Great web based setup did everything for me. All I did is enter my ISP login & password. I have no problems with line dropping or signal loss. It even works with Linux with no setup necessary. I managed to get a wireless network going by using the cheap dabs value 11b USB dongle. Very happy with this ADSL router.

Ordered on Friday, delivered on Saturday, despite choosing the cheapest delivery option. Well done Dabs. Even counting unpacking time, twenty minutes later it was running. No tweaks, no fiddling. Well done Netgear - as clear a set of instructions as I've come across. Basically they were "Stick the CD in the PC". After that it was a case of following prompts or answering questions in the software. I've now got 2 wireless laptops (1 Vista, 1 XP), 1 wired XP desktop (1 of the 4 LAN ports on this router) and a wired laser printer (another LAN port) all interconnected. Massive upgrade in previous capabilities and rock-solid connections. Strangely, despite the 2 laptops being roughly equidistant from the router in opposite directions, one of them shows signal strength as max whereas the other shows it as weak. However the latter has no problems in using the connection and browsing, downloads etc all work at good speeds. If only all equipment was as easy to set up and use.

No USB Dongle Supplied

I'm not writing this off or anything. But lets say a popular retailer is selling these for 40 quid atm with the USB Dongle Supplied.

This version arrived this morning and it does not contain one in the package.

Other than that, it's a good model, I've been using the wired model for ages and it works with tricky ISPs like AOL.

delivered to my door less than 20 hours after ordering, and i picked the cheap option :)

easy to setup, working in jig time, nice and fast. only had it 2 hours :)

smaller than what i thought it was going to be, and suprisingly easy to access the features and impliment them.

Not much documentation with the product, but who needs it when its that easy to set up!!
