I have the 2.1 version of these speakers which are fantastic, so I had little hesitation in buying the 5.1 version as it seemed like a no brainer.

Sadly they do not have the same "wow factor" when used for surround. They are ok and just fine for the money, but some might find them a little underpowered. I cannot put my finger on it but they just seem to lack any sparkle in surround mode.

If on a budget they should do just fine but if you are a real hifi buff then look at something else.
