The Panasonic 7700 series telephones provide enormous convenience with an assortment of practical features to help users manage voice communications in their small business or residence.
Useful features include Automatic Call Back/Busy for automatically redialing a busy or unanswered number, speed and one-touch dialing capability, the ability to program the telephone to forward a call to a desired extension or set the telephone to "Do Not Disturb, " and paging to an extension or group of extensions.
The phones also have Automatic Redial; Auto Answer/Mute key for answering calls without picking up the handset (functions like an intercom); Auto Dial/Store key for one-touch "push-button" dialing or system programming; Conference key for connecting multiple callers in a conference call setting; a Message button for access to messages left in the user's voice mailbox; and traditional phone features such as flash, hold, redial and intercom.
The KX-T7730 is also compatible with Caller ID Name and Number. When a call comes in, the caller's information is displayed on the backlit alphanumeric LCD display. Accessing the stored Caller ID information is done with the Navigator key - a multi-function button that allows users to easily scroll through the Caller ID log for the caller's information. This functional key can also be used to adjust the handset volume and to gain access to other telephone features.
Hands-free operation is also possible with Panasonic's 7700 series telephones. They have speakerphone capability, allowing the user to place or answer calls without the handset or to let others in the room join in the conversation. All of the models also offer an industry standard 2.5 mm headset jack for use with an optional headset.
Each telephone has flexible Central Office (CO) keys that can be individually programmed for each individual user. These buttons can be set for either Direct Station Selection (DSS)/Busy Lamp Field (BLF), automatic dialing or one-touch access to the feature each employee uses most often. All of the 7700 series models have 24 programmable buttons: 12 illuminated CO keys and 12 personal features keys.
