EK-UA2C is a 2-port USB KVM switch to control two computers using a single VGA monitor, PS/2 keyboard, and PS/2 mouse. With built-in 1.2M KVM cables, you can connect to computers and devices easily. The compact size can save your desktop space. It supports hotkeys, push button and auto scan. Its completed keyboard and mouse emulation for simultaneous PCs boot-up process. The Hot Plug feature let you connect/disconnect PCs without powering down PCs. EK-UA2C supports most of operating system (DOS, Win3.X, Win95/98/98SE/ME/XP/7/2000/NT, Netware, Unix and Linux...). Edimax 2-port KVM Switch

I have used this device for 12 months, I find very useful when using 2 PC's, sometimes the 2nd PC won't work correctly when first connected because drivers have not been found, but works after unplugging USB connector and re-connecting.
Very good device.

Very easy to setup and use. The only problem is that hitting ctrl key twice will switch computers. There is no way to change that or turn it off.
You would be surprised at how often you are in the middle of working and the KVM catches 2xCTRL key and switches computer. You then have to switch back and wait 20 seconds for the USB to get recognised on the original PC. Exceedingly annoying.
I'm sure this KVM is gerat for PCs that are not often used (eg a couple of servers), but don't use it on a normal desktop PC.

Only takes PS2 mouse/keyboard and won't take USB. Even with USB->PS2 adapter fitted it won't recognise them.

This is despite mentioning USB in the product title. USB is only used to go from the splitter to the computers. it won't recognise USB input.
