Description
The DAP-1160 Wireless G Access Point can be configured to operate in any of the following 7 modes: Wireless Access Point (AP); AP Client to connect to another Access Point; Bridge, with one peer AP, to easily create dedicated building-to-building links; Bridge with AP, to allow wireless clients on the bridge link; Wireless repeater, to extend the wireless coverage and cover any "dead spot"; WISP Client Router, to share an Internet connection based on Wi-Fi between wired computers without an extra router; WISP Repeater, to share an Internet connection based on Wi-Fi between wired/wireless computers without an extra router.
The AP is based on Linux, which allows the open-source community to add their own features. Robust security is included, with support for WPA/WPA2 encryption, MAC address filtering and the SSID broadcast disable function.
