It came with PowerChute personal edition, a cable to connect the RJ45 data port on the rear to one of the PC's USB ports. It has 4 surge protected power sockets (3 are battery backed, 1 - clearly marked - is not so loses power during blackout). One female-male power cable is provided out of the box - if you plan to connect more than one device then you will require additional female-male cables. Note that maximum number of devices is upto 4 (3 battery backed) using a total of 400W. Powerchute software is simple to install and use and provides useful information (e.g. I'm using 140W of available 400W and would last about 16min without electicity). It allows various automatic shutdown options (e.g. shutdown immediately, shutdown when down to last 5 mins of battery life etc).
Very high quality product. Software does give the shutdown (hibernate) options, they are just not so obvious. Just note that the non-battery-backed output is not switched on or off by the front panel switch.
Can't fault APC for the product but just to make you aware that it comes with no software to shut the PC down automatically and the phone/modem/adsl protection looks like a CAT5 network socket and there was no cable supplied to make use of it! Consequently I have had to buy a surge protector to protect the ADSL router!
