Euxton Primrose Primary School and their 1:1 journey

Read how digital transformation helped to underpin Euxton Primrose’s journey of success: going 1:1 with iPad.

Where it all started

Despite being awarded ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted – Euxton’s newly appointed headteacher Gareth Caunce was eager to continue to improve the quality of education even further within the school.

BT partnered with Euxton Primrose

Euxton started working with us after attending a couple of our free BT and Apple webinars. This is where they discovered the key benefits of using and integrating Apple technology in the classroom. We supported the school with their tech vision and implementation, helping them to create a Planning Essentials session that was led by one of our BT Apple Education Specialists.

Devices and bespoke requirements

To ensure iPad was the right fit for their needs, we worked closely with the school and they first experimented with loaning trial units for pupils to use. After using just 15 trial devices, the benefits were apparent and really started paying off. iPad helped to increase collaboration and productivity levels across lessons.

Apple professional services

Our BT Apple Education Specialists supported Euxton with the next steps of procurement, set-up and deployment of iPad into the classroom. This included any ongoing support that the teachers and staff requested for a smooth implementation. Learn more

Twilight CPD sessions, Apple Professional Learning, Apple Teacher and Showbie

Our Apple Education Specialists stepped in to help Euxton fully embrace their new technology with practical hands-on training organised and delivered to the teachers and staff. To maximise their investment, we hosted CPD sessions too with a focus on Apple Teacher and the Showbie app. Together with Apple we helped the staff develop their knowledge and confidence in using iPad and ways of how to embed this tech in the curriculum.

“BT facilitated our Apple Professional Learning for teachers, TAs and our digital leaders. Staff and pupils went into these sessions with very little knowledge of Apple apps but left extremely confident and ready to maximise these in their teaching and learning. Since then our teaching and learning has been transformed in school”
